A new special edition 2015 Moto Guzzi V7 Racer by Piaggio is announced for the North American market. It will be produced with the special “Verde Legnano” green and red frame which will reflect an image of the 1971 Telaio Rosso Moto Guzzi V7 Sport. Only 50 units will be produced in the start.
1971 V7 which was designed by the Lino Tonti, was the first five-speed production motorcycle that can reach 120 mph and weighed 200 kg. To produce the 2015 limited edition model, Moto Guzzi has removed the V7’s chrome tank with the beautiful and classic green paint.
Chrome plating beneath the seat was replaced by black panel which matches the new V7 II versions which was introduced at Intermot last year. 2015 model has a new wet flywheel but these North American 2015 V7 models are based on the previous versions as they keep them classic so they did not receive the V7 II updates like tilted engine, lower foot pegs, lowered seat height and sixth gear. This edition will come to the U.S. market in March with the price of $10,999.
